Operation Sindoor: India’s Decisive Strike Against Terrorism and Pakistan’s Proxy War

As Parliament continues its debate on Operation Sindoor, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to address the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to speak later in the evening, according to a senior government source.

The source confirmed that Amit Shah’s speech is likely to take place between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM, providing crucial insights into India’s response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack.

On Monday, the Lok Sabha opened discussions on what has been termed “India’s strong, successful, and decisive military action” — Operation Sindoor — launched in direct retaliation to the terrorist ambush in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam region. The debate was led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who delivered a powerful statement on the floor of the House.

“The aim of Operation Sindoor was not to invade or occupy, but to neutralize the terrorist infrastructure that Pakistan has harbored for decades,” said Singh. He emphasized that the mission was rooted in justice — delivering accountability for the innocent lives lost in years of cross-border terrorism.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Defence, Rajnath Singh denounced Pakistan-sponsored terrorism as more than just “random madness,” describing it instead as a “deliberate strategy fueled by ideological hatred.” He highlighted that the operation’s politico-military objective was to send a clear message: India will not tolerate proxy wars.

“India has displayed not only its military superiority but also its unwavering national will, moral clarity, and diplomatic strength,” Singh declared. “We will decisively respond to any terrorist aggression — those who provide aid and shelter to terrorism will face the consequences.”

In a powerful message to Pakistan and the global community, Singh concluded by stating, “India will not yield to nuclear blackmail or international pressure. We stand united and resolute in our pursuit of peace and security.”

With Amit Shah and PM Modi slated to address the nation through Parliament, the next 24 hours are critical in shaping the national and geopolitical narrative surrounding Operation Sindoor — an operation already being viewed as a turning point in India’s fight against terrorism.
