In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, senior IAS officer S.P. Goel has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh. A 1989-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, Goel brings decades of administrative experience to the top post.
Prior to this appointment, he was serving as Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, playing a crucial role in policy formulation and administrative coordination at the highest level of the state government.
Goel’s elevation comes at a critical juncture, as Uttar Pradesh gears up for major developmental and governance initiatives under the current administration. His track record in governance and bureaucratic efficiency is expected to further strengthen the state’s administrative machinery.
