In a forceful and emotionally charged address during a special discussion on Operation Sindoor in the Rajya Sabha, Union Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a series of powerful messages — aimed at terrorists, Pakistan, and the political opposition.
Shah unequivocally declared, “We will reclaim Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).” He reiterated the government’s unwavering resolve to combat terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and confirmed that Kashmir will be free of terrorism under the Modi government.
The Minister also shared chilling details of Operation Mahadev, the mission that successfully neutralized the terrorists behind the tragic Pahalgam terror attack. “After the Pahalgam incident, I received heartbreaking calls from victims’ families. They pleaded for justice… Our forces responded with precision — the terrorists were shot in the head,” Shah stated.
The ballistic reports, he confirmed, established a 99% match between the bullet casings found at the Srinagar encounter site and those from the Pahalgam attack, leaving no doubt that the same terrorists were eliminated.
Further revealing the identity of the terrorists, Shah said, “It is confirmed — the three terrorists killed in Operation Mahadev were affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba.”
Expressing solidarity with the bereaved families, Shah mentioned his meeting with the victims’ relatives: “They were inconsolable… The terrorists had asked their religion before killing them.”
The Home Minister’s remarks came after a Congress protest and walkout, in which the party objected to Prime Minister Modi’s absence and refused to stay for Shah’s response. However, Shah remained undeterred and delivered a sharp rebuke:
“Congress gave away Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, but we will bring it back. They have done nothing to stop terrorism… and now they cannot bear to listen.”
His speech has not only reaffirmed the government’s hardline stance against cross-border terrorism but also served as a stern warning to terror outfits and their handlers across the border. By linking security operations with political accountability, Shah positioned the BJP as the only party capable of delivering both justice to victims and strategic strength on the national front.
