Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad, a judge of the Jharkhand High Court, has been appointed to discharge the duties of the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court. This interim appointment follows the transfer of Justice Mamidanna Satya Ratna Sri Ramachandra Rao, the former Chief Justice, to head the Tripura High Court. Justice Prasad will serve in this role until Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan of the Himachal Pradesh High Court formally assumes office as the new Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court.
