Manoj Govil, a senior IAS officer of the 1991 batch from the Madhya Pradesh cadre, has been entrusted with an additional charge as Secretary (Security) in the Cabinet Secretariat. Currently serving as Secretary (Coordination) in the same department, Govil will hold this dual responsibility until a regular appointment is made for the security portfolio.
This move underscores the government’s confidence in Govil’s administrative acumen and extensive experience in handling sensitive responsibilities at the central level.
