The government has extended the tenure of Ravi Agrawal as Chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on a contract basis for one more year, until June 30, 2026. Agrawal is a seasoned officer from the 1988 batch of the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax).
